Religion Is Illogical

Hello Citizens of the World,
As we all know, there are so many contradictions in the Bible, yet Christians take it to be literal fact, even when presented with evidence, the minds of the most devoted still cling to their beliefs, so I've decided to add my two cents to the debate, and join the growing group of people who have called out religion for its many errors in history, ethics, and why it is illogical. The primary error in religion is that it's built on so many assumptions, it's continued existence may be the only true miracle in this world. Now to move on to scientific evidence disproving the existence of a god. First, the fossil record, if humans and dinosaurs lived at the same time, you'd expect to find some human fossils, yet none have been found. The next piece of evidence is the Grand Canyon, first, if Noah's flood actually occurred, you'd expect a Grand Canyon on every continent, except oh, wait, there isn't. The next piece of evidence pertaining to the Grand Canyon is that if said flood actually occurred, you'd expect fossils of different ages, such as 4,000 years ago, and fossils of modern-day animals to be intermixed as if some of each had tried to swim to safety. Another piece of evidence is meteorological, after all, it is highly improbable that it would rain in a continuous downpour for 40 days and nights. There is also proof of evolution, as we have found transitionary forms, even though those stupid creationists want one mid-transition, or think there's a missing link in the chain, there are also genetic similarities. Continuing on, evidence disproving god is found in the Bible itself, for example, the Bible states, and I quote, "They shall take up serpents;and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them" So what the Bible is saying is that a believer could drink 5 grams of Sodium Cyanide and remain unharmed. The very proposition has me laughing uncontrollably. It also says only two of each species we on the Ark, which was supposedly constructed out of wood by eight unskilled workers in a region of the world where wood is scarce, continuing on, it appears, according to a chart proposed by science, called similar to the religious model by Ken Ham, which completely ignored Golden Jackals, did they have chariots fitted with iron like the plains people from Judges Chapter 1, who couldn't be defeated in battle for the same reason??? That also implied that modern genetic diversity seen today took only 2000 years, not the 400,000 science has shown it would take. The Bible is also off on the number of species genetically bottlenecked, the Bible says 2 dogs, science says 2000-25000 dogs. To conclude, if you still ignore the evidence shown above, and I didn't cover every scrap of it, you must be an ignorant religious type, as most religious types with any "common" (and by common I mean uncommon) sense, would have joined those who do not believe in any god. Even though I ignored all the other thousands of gods purported to exist in separate religions, if one religion has flaws, they all do.

5 Questions Atheists Cannot Answer (Answered)

Hello All,    Sorry I haven't posted in a while, between running and schoolwork I've been busier than normal, so here's a new post. So, SJ Thompson, a religious apologist, specifically Christian, has posted 5 questions for atheists, this post is from May of last year, but I just found it today perusing the black hole of doom, gloom, and depression that is the internet.  So her first question is, " So, why do even individualists know that we ought to help the weak, feed the poor, and be honest, humble, just, cooperative, empathetic, forgiving and loving? Why is it that all societies, regardless of their practices, know what we   ought   to do? Where did we get this moral compass?" My answer is a quote from the Greater Good Magazine run by UC Berkley, " We are so used to empathy that we take it for granted, yet it is essential to human society as we know it. Our morality depends on it: How could anyone be expected to follow the golden rule without the ca

A Dissertation of Sorts on Homosexuality

Hello All,     Back in 2015, only four years ago in the historic Supreme Court case Obgerfell v. Hodges, where the Court legalized gay marriage, the Christian right went crazy. Some groups, such as the Westboro Baptist Church have begun protesting at military funerals, a deplorable act, as the families are grieving for the loss of a member they will never see again. In this essay, I will be stating the arguments for gay marriage, and then those against which I shall refute immediately thereafter. For. The arguments for gay marriage fall under equal rights, change in the concept of "traditional marriage",  law, both US and international, the fact that marriage is not simply for procreation, as infertile couples would then be barred from marriage as well. " Denying some people the option to marry is discriminatory and creates a second class of citizens.  On July 25, 2014 Miami-Dade County Circuit Court Judge Sarah Zabel ruled Florida's gay marriage ban unconstit

Well, I Take Some Time Off to Focus on Running for My Team and Everything Goes to Sh*t

Hello All,    Sorry for the very extended hiatus, I had to take some time away from this blog to focus on running for my team, and I hope you will agree that it paid off, as two weeks ago I ran a 9:44 3200 as a freshman to win my league by 8 seconds (for all the non-runners, 1 second is an eternal hell in distance running) the district meet was okay, but not as successful as leagues.    So I take time off from my blogging for my team... and shit has really hit the fan.  Arkansas, Indiana, Alabama, Ohio, Kentucky, Mississippi, Georgia, Utah, Arkansas, Tennesee, and Missouri all passed acute bans on abortion, with Louisianna and many others on track to join the club. I'd like to add that Alabama has more restrictive than most Muslim Majority countries, in Isreal, it's legal and often free to boot. I hope many evangelical supporters of Isreal find this interesting. Source: https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/.premium.MAGAZINE-shhh-don-t-tell-evangelical-supporters-of-israe
